Perhaps it is the splendour of his brand of gospel music, the crescendo of his voice or the spine-tingling, soul-stirring effect of his lyrics that makes Will McMillan an awesome singer.
McMillan has already sung his way into the hearts of many and will continue to do so on his new album My Story, which is out today! If you haven’t purchased the album, you are missing out on a great, not-so-traditional journey into God’s presence. My Story’s mix of R&B, underground, traditional, shows us McMillian’s talent and versatility.
Quite a few people on social media have expressed the opinion that it’s hard to categorise this album. However, even with the flavours of different genres, there is the strong sense of worship. The album consists of 8 tracks and features his debut single “Best Thing”, a remake of James Cleveland’s classic song “Jesus Is The Best Thing” - and my favourites “Hanging”, which projects God’s grace and mercy and “Scream It Loud” that is a feel-good song proclaiming the wonders and greatness of God.
Trust me when I tell you that all the tracks are definitely worth listening to. It also features superb collaboration with Lance Robinson on “Never Get Tired” and Julia McMillan on “See You”
